Support Group Charity Walk
4th June
GB
The women from the local breast cancer support group where Anne is a
founder member are doing a 7 mile walk. All of these women are affected by breast cancer. Some are still undergoing chemotherapy, some have just had or going through reconstructions, some have walking difficulties brought on by medication. So an unusual set of walkers but we dont doubt we will have a great laugh along the way.
EVENT COMPLETED SEE THE NEWS PAGES FOR DETAILS!

My 2 girlfriends and I left Hyde Park around 11.35 pm and arrived back around 9 hours later. Held back a little initially with over 15,000 walkers setting off even though it was staggered, plus a few places where bottle necks appeared whilst getting everyone thru narrow gaps in footpaths, etc etc, then there were all the loo stops!! good fun. no probs at all. some people (and they were much younger than me!!) were in a poor state towards the end.
it was cold and miserable but fortunately thru the wee small hours it stayed dry. although the intention is for everyone to walk just in their decorated bras and leggings, with it being so chilly it would have been silly.
london looked absolutely majestic thru the night - saw places i never knew existed.
will email you some photos and let you know what we raised for breast cancer research just as soon as i have a total.
all the best to you,
janet
